Overview

Throughout his career as an attorney in both, the military and civilian practice, Mr. Matos has always thrived to ensure that justice is obtained on behalf of those that cannot obtain it on their own, or who believe that it may be difficult to pursue it.  It is gratifying to see how appreciative the clients are after they see how committed you are to assure that their interests are well represented during litigation.

US v. Arthur Rodriguez-Sanchez, 23-053 District of Puerto Rico. Lead federal prosecutor in a case involving a seven-count indictment charging 24 individuals with international drug trafficking and money laundering offenses. Investigation and case are part of the DOJ’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF).

US v. Juan Ortiz-Vazquez, 24-456 District of Puerto Rico.  Lead federal prosecutor in case charging 34 individuals with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances (including Heroin and Fentanyl) within the Puerto Rico Correctional System, and other offenses, including charges relating to four overdose deaths. Investigation and case are part of the DOJ’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF).

Multiple performance awards while working for DOJ as a DEA Special Agent, Supervisory Attorney Advisor in the Bureau of Prisons and as an Assistant United States District Attorney.
