María E. Nery


Maria E. Nery is an associate in the firm’s Complex Commercial Litigation Department who focuses on discovery and litigation support for the opioid multidistrict litigation. Has worked in motion practice of removals from state court, remands, and oppositions to conditional transfer orders. Also works in electronic document review, using the Relativity platform, of voluminous and complex documents to determine issues such as responsiveness, privilege, confidentiality, need of redaction, translation of documents ( English /Spanish) depending on the applicable protocol and particularities of the assigned project.

Other Experience

Ms. Nery previously worked as an attorney in the legal department of two governmental entities. As part of her responsibilities, she conducted investigations, prepared reports with findings, conclusions, and recommendations. She researched proposed legislation, drafted the legal opinion of the agency, and attended legislative hearings in representation of the agency. In addition, she has litigation experience in civil cases involving issues of family law, protection or restraining orders , collections, breach of contract and injunction.
